About Ruth

Ruth Todd Evans has dedicated the proceeds of her painting to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She has studied oil painting with Sebastian Capella and Raye Anne Marks and drawing with Irina Gronborg and Kathi McCord. She draws inspiration from her home and garden, and travels. Her work is in collections from New York to California. She has had a one-woman show at J Dewers Gallery in San Diego in September 2005 and a one-woman show at the Rancho Santa Fe Library and a two-person show at the Wells Fargo Mortgage Bank inRancho Santa Fe, California in 2010. She has been exhibited and awarded at the San Diego Fair including 1st Place in Still Life in 2011. Her work is shown at the Rancho Santa Fe Art Guild and other venues in San Diego including the La Jolla Art Association. Ruth particularly enjoys painting seascapes, children at the beach, nautical scenes and still life compositions. She will paint commissions to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She wrote and illustrated the book, The Panda Who Would Not Eat, which was released by Sunbelt Publications in the fall of 2007. All of her proceeds from the book sales benefit the San Diego Botanic Garden Children’s Garden and the San Diego Zoo.
